Royal & SunAlliance reported net written premiums of £931m for UK commercial business in the first six months of 2005, a rise of £43m or 5% over the same period in 2004.
RSA's combined operating ratio also improved to 90.8%, up 4.5% over the first six months of 2004. GWP for UK personal lines was £430m, up £25m or 6% on the previous year, with More Than growing 12%.
