Congregational & General is to take on 200 new intermediaries in the
next 12 months, it has revealed to PB.


The insurer hopes to establish new partnerships in personal lines, in a
bid to attract £1m-worth of new household business. C&G said it is
interested in hearing from intermediaries who have portfolios of household
business above £50,000 in premium income. It is particularly interested in
those with portfolios in the £100,000 to £250,000 range.


At present, C&G has an agency base of just 1200

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has indicated its levy for 2025/26 will rise to £394m from £265m this financial year as it cited having lower surpluses to carry forward and offset bills – a factor that has benefited brokers for two years in a row.
