AXA Insurance is set to make a further 200 redundancies over the
course of 2003, according to Peter Hubbard, Axa UK chief executive.


Mr Hubbard said the company had not yet completed the rationalisation
process started in 2002, when it axed over 700 jobs. "We announced in 2002
that we would reduce the headcount by 25% and started the process then. We
still have further cuts to make but 2003 will not be a year of dramatic
announcements. It is a matter of 200 jobs in total."
