Following the decision to scrap the 100-year old quarantine laws, DCTTravel - part of Devitt Insurance Services - is offering cover for pets as
an optional add-on to its existing travel policies. Benefits of travel pet
insurance include overseas veterinary costs up to £1000, costs to replace
pet travel certificates up to £100, liability of pet owner up to £2m and
cancellation of trip due to pet surgery up to £1000. At present, the cover
is only available for cats and dogs.
