Brokers finding it hard to place liability business could consider
Brit Insurance.


The insurer wants to extend its presence in the UK liability market and
plans to write up to £70m of employer's liability, public liability and
professional indemnity business in 2003.


John Murphy, divisional director, is heading up the new team, known as UK
casualty. Brit Insurance already has a strong presence in the PI and
directors' and officers' sector.
