The Investec Group - which includes broker division Investec Insurance - has acquired the financial services and insurance business of Fedsure. The transaction excludes Fedsure Healthcare and FEM, which will be grouped under Fedsure Holdings.
Investec, which has held 14% of Fedsure since 1991, has headquarters in South Africa, but offices around the world. It will pay a maximum of R5.50bn (£502m approx) in shares plus R250m (£23m approx) in cash. Fedsure shareholders will receive a final
