BIBA to set industry-wide service standards

The British Insurance Brokers' Association will launch a set of
industry-wide service standards by the end of the year, according to chief
executive Mike Williams.


The standards will apply to brokers and insurers and, Mr Williams hopes,
eventually tie in with Polaris' E-Market initiative.


He said: "We have developed a set of service standards and six of our
partner insurers have already agreed them. We will regularly name and
shame those insurers who are not coming up to scratch, though we are not
