Rapidly expanding intermediary The Smart and Cook Group has acquired the general and financial services business of Newcastle-based Middleton & Co.The staff of Middleton & Co have moved into Smart and Cook's new office in Newcastle, which opened at the beginning of April. Paul Meehan, group managing director of Smart and Cook, wants to expand the company across the UK. The company opened new offices in Glasgow and Leeds in November and now has well over 230 staff and nine offices.
