Reg Brown, managing director of Markel Syndicate Management, has
announced his retirement. He is due to be replaced this month by Jeremy
Cook, who will take up the position of chief operating officer.


Mr Brown said: "I feel I've completed my work here and am negotiating and
discussing the terms and conditions of my departure."
