Q: I am a small high-street broker with a quote engine from a major
broker software vendor and four stand-alone PCs. Should I network my
PCs?


A: If your employees need to share information, have a single source of
data, work with large documents or files, or require access to limited
hardware resources (eg sharing printers), then your business will benefit
from a computer network.


There are two, main types of network: a peer-to-peer network where PCs are
connected to one another via cables, sharing
