Broking consolidator Oval has unified its insurance broking and financial services operating boards. Jeff Herdman, managing director of Oval Insurance Broking, has been appointed group managing director. Herdman joined the main board of Oval on 1 June.
Oval has 150 staff working in financial services with offices in Leeds, Nottingham, London and Brigewater.
Herdman told Professional Broking: "There is no reason why we could not merge our financial services companies with our brokers.
