The Chartered Insurance Institute has linked its training system, Broker Assess, to Axa Campus's 8000 users to create the largest single broker learning system with more than 20,000 users.
David Slade, chairman of the CII's faculty of insurance broking and chief executive of Birmingham-based Perkins Slade, pioneered the Broker Academy.
Slade said: "This will place an emphasis on knowledge and understanding and give brokers a professional status alongside architects and accountants."
