A total of 190 jobs across CGU's London offices are under threat asthe insurer gets underway with the final stage in its regional
restructuring programme.
In October last year, CGU announced that the integration of the branch
structures of General Accident and Commercial Union would result in the
company reducing its total number of UK sites from 100 to 50. To date, the
insurer has shut 15 former CU satellite offices and is in the process of
closing nine former GA branches.
