An experienced broker has called for more delegated authority to be appropriated to loss adjusters for property and motor claims.

Bernard Dunn, managing director of Scottish broker MacDonald Reid Scott and the subject of this month's Broking Success interview (see page 19), told PB that the claims process could be speeded up by insurers giving more power to loss adjusters.

He said: "I think insurers need to improve the way claims are handled; there are too many points of contacts at insurers
