Folgate has recently commissioned research into why its underwriting agency is so widely misunderstood among brokers in an attempt to tackle the problem.

The agency, which was established after a buyout of the Folgate Insurance Company in 2002 by the Towergate Underwriting Group, has backing from Norwich Union.
