Direct Line is integrating its operations with sister companyPrivilege, in a move that is likely to see Direct Line expand its
activities into non-standard motor business.
The integration follows the Royal Bank of Scotland's acquisition of Peter
Wood's 30% stake in Privilege, for a reported £30m, at the end of last
year.
Although the two boards will remain as separate legal entities, a
statement from Direct Line said there will be greater co-operation between
it and Privilege. A new insurance
