Insurers must embrace e-commerce or face extinction, the Association
of British Insurers has warned.


Two thirds of respondents in a survey of 80 insurers cited product
complexity as the biggest barrier to e-commerce.


Insurers were also concerned about regulation, integrating legacy systems,
security risks, electronic signatures and the cost of online
development.
