The Insurance Ombudsman Bureau has commissioned Peter Tyldesley, senior lecturer in financial services regulation at London Guildhall
University, to scrutinise its performance. The survey was initiated by
Laurie Slade while he was Insurance Ombudsman. Mr Slade said: "The IOB
began as a radical experiment in consumer dispute resolution. An objective
evaluation of its successes and failures, now that its work is coming to
an end, will be invaluable."
