General insurance broker Hill House Hammond has acquiredNottingham-based Dragoon Insurance Service's motor insurance book. Edward
Winiarski, director of Dragoon Insurance Services, said: "We have decided
to concentrate on developing our corporate insurance broking activities
and financial services business." The Association of British Insurers'
statistics show that the UK motor insurance market lost £1.3bn in 1999.
This was an improvement on 1998.
