British Insurance Brokers' Association chief executive Eric Galbraith declared the need to recruit 'weapons-grade talent' if the broking sector is to shake off its low profile with the public and enhance its reputation in the insurance industry.

In his opening address at this year's BIBA conference, attended by 1350 delegates, Galbraith said the association is looking to training as the key to building a more professional image and pointed to BIBA's recent agreement with the Chartered Insurance
