As usual, Terry Wellard puts his finger on key issues (in one of thebetter columns in the insurance press today may I add) in his article
"Tough lessons for insurers" (PB, August, p40).
While I agree with many of his observations, it is worth reflecting that
the British insurance and broking industry have, by and large, managed to
hand the game over to much more successful US and European insurers,
reinsurers and brokers over the past decade or more.
