Doodson strengthens entertainment arm with London acquisition

Chesire-based broker buys two and moves closer to London market

The Doodson Broking Group has bought London-based entertainment and leisure specialist Albermarle Insurance Brokers and Blackburn-based construction specialist Sumner Insurance Services.

The broker said the acquisition of Albermarle, which specialises in rock and pop tours, would help it deal with London market insurers more effectively, and in order to help achieve this it has achieved official Lloyd's broker status. Meanwhile it has set-up a motorsport arm - Doodson Motorsport in Belfast
