Jelf appoints new insurance CEO

Jelf has announced the appointment of Phil Barton, group commercial director, to the newly created role of CEO of Jelf Insurance.

Mr Barton will take responsibility for all the insurance businesses within the group with effect from 1 May, and report directly to group chief executive, Alex Alway.

According to the company, since joining Jelf in 2003, Mr Barton has undertaken a number of roles including developing its marketing strategy, leading the compliance function, and more recently, leading the newly acquired businesses.

Previously, he worked with Axa and Prudential in a number of senior sales and marketing roles.
