Report: motor insurance at a "crossroads"
Insurers need to change their marketing message in the personal motor market, research in the sector has revealed.
Independent financial research company Defaqto has published its annual report on the motor insurance industry and highlights the need to educate consumers to look beyond price.
With underwriting losses mounting, and premiums being reviewed constantly, the report describes the industry as “at a crossroads” and highlights the need for insurers to move away from the price-led messaging of recent years in order to remain competitive and profitable.
