Quinn confirms withdrawal from solicitors' PI

law

Quinn Insurance has confirmed today that it will not be re-entering the solicitors’ professional indemnity insurance market in England and Wales this year.

In a statement the insurer said it "believes that it is in the best interest of its policyholders to advise them at this point that it will not be in a position to participate in Solicitors' Professional Indemnity Insurance market for the upcoming 2010-2011 renewal period."

The news follows a report in the Law Society Gazette which stated that Travelers has come to an exclusive agreement with Prime Professions, Quinn's former broker, to offer cover to sole practitioners.
