According to new research by Ordnance Survey nearly three quarters of UK fraud investigators have seen an increase in fraudulent claims

Insurance fraud continues to soar, according to new research by Ordnance Survey. Nearly three quarters (74%) of UK insurance fraud investigators (IFIs) interviewed said they have seen an increase in fraudulent claims since the beginning of 2009.

Four out of five believe the situation will continue to get worse while the top issue highlighted was the credit crunch further fuelling fraudulent claims, followed by fraud being committed at the point when people first take out their policies (43%).
