PIB linked to TFP Schemes takeover

Deal could occur before the end of the year.

PIB is poised to bid for wholesale schemes broker TFP Schemes, Insurance Age understands.

According to market sources, talks are ongoing and a deal for the commercial motor specialist could be concluded before the end of the year.

One expert told Insurance Age: "TFP Schemes definitely fits with PIB's niche model."

Adding: "It would be transformational for PIB."

TFP Schemes has over £30m of gross written premium. It was set up in 1998 trading as Taxi Fleet Plus targeting niches in the motor
