Disappointing results for Willis show income halved last year
Willis has reported total commissions and fees of $816m (£520m) for the fourth quarter of 2011, down from $823m in the same quarter of 2010.
The broker, which does not provide country specific results, reported that commissions and fees in its international segment grew slightly, from $275m in Q4 2010 to $281m in the same period of 2011.
However, Willis said growth had been "moderated" by a double digit decline in commissions and fees for the UK and Ireland retail business.
Total revenue for the final quarter of 2011 was $825m, down slightly from the last quarter of 2010 ($833m).
