Bupa’s product pull back stuns broker market
AMII enters discussions with the UK’s largest private medical insurance provider
Bupa’s apparent decision to pull back from the broker channel for individual private medical insurance (PMI) shocked the market, with the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII) admitting it had not been contacted ahead of the announcement.
The immediate details of Bupa’s resolution certainly did not make for encouraging reading for brokers placing PMI business. The UK’s largest provider confirmed it would no longer be offering its ClientChoice, Bupa Care, Local Care, Local
