Bluefin CEO "bullish" about acquisitions despite 2012 blank

Bluefin Insurance CEO Stuart Reid has insisted he is "bullish" about the broker's 2013 acquisition prospects despite drawing a blank last year.

In September 2012, Mr Reid told Insurance Age that the Axa-owned broker would tie up a deal before the end of year. 

But on reflection Mr Reid admitted that he can be his "own worst enemy" when it comes to the subject of acquisitions.

"I keep talking about them," he acknowledged. "But we will do acquisitions this year, I am bullish about it.

"If we don't do three this year I will be disappointed, we have a set up here which is a safe and proper one for acquisitions.
