SEIB reports surge in revenue and profit

Broker sees benefit of Lansdown buy.

SEIB Insurance Brokers, formerly known as South Essex Insurance Brokers, has delivered a 26% rise in revenue to £9.17m for 2014.

The South Ockendon-based broker reported in a filing at Companies House that operating profit had increased 32% to £2.47m for the year.

Pre-tax profit was also up at £3.03m (2013: £2.47m) while income attributable to shareholders rose 29% to £2.39m.

Acquisition
In April 2014 the business bought Cheltenham-based Lansdown Insurance Brokers.
