Why isn't Flood Re more widely available via brokers?

Software houses say they had the technology in place when the scheme was launched.

It appears some insurers may have a few questions to answer.

Brokers have been left high and dry following the launch of Flood Re which is designed to address the availability and affordability of insurance for people whose homes have been or at risk of being flooded.

Many insurers are currently only offering the cover through their direct distribution channel, so broker products through the software houses are generally not available.
