Industry tackles Flood Re challenges
Brendan McCafferty hails scheme’s impact and promises further progress
Flood Re was rolled out on 4 April, sparking a degree of controversy across the insurance sector. Some participating insurers, including Aviva, confirmed that initially they would only make it available through their direct distribution channels.
But other providers took a different approach. Hiscox went live with Flood Re in its broker business first. Covéa later confirmed its broker partners have access to its mid and high net worth home products on the scheme and LV said it would make Flood
